About Us

Franca Muraca

Hi there! My name is Franca Muraca and I am a notary public in and for the province of British Columbia. My ties to Kamloops run deep. I look forward to meeting you. Being of service and connecting with people are what I am most passionate about.

I was born and raised in Kamloops. I graduated from NorKam Secondary School in 1988 and enrolled at the University College of the Cariboo, now Thompson Rivers University. After completing a university transfer, I headed to UBC to complete my undergraduate degree with a double major in French and English. I then enrolled in Simon Fraser University’s Professional Development program and became a secondary teacher, a career that I enjoyed for more than 25 years. Eight years into my teaching career, I completed my first master’s degree, specializing in Administration and Curriculum. I have worked in several high schools in the district, been a member of the Kamloops Thompson Teacher’s Executive, led over 15 trips to Europe with my students, been a staff representative, and been chosen to represent my district at Harvard University.

In December 2018 I graduated with my second master’s degree in Applied Law and was commissioned in June 2019 as a notary public.

In 2005, I had my first daughter and a mere 18 months later, I had my second daughter. I am a busy working mom who understands striving for work/life balance. Let me help you do what you have to do, so you can get busy doing what you want to do! I love working with people. The work of a notary is both challenging and rewarding. I love what I do! The people I have the privilege of assisting and the constantly new and interesting challenges that come with the work of a BC Notary make this a rewarding and exciting career.

Nicole Fayers

Hi! My name is Nicole Fayers. I was born and raised in Kamloops, BC. I am currently working as our Conveyancer and Bookkeeper.

Outside of work, I keep busy with my family and I enjoy spending my weekends at my family cabin on Bridge Lake.

Lorrie Spinney

Hi, I’m Lorrie.

I took the Legal Assistant program at Fraser Valley College in 1988 and began as a conveyancer shortly after for a law firm in Vancouver, where I worked for a few years.

Flash forward over 30 years (!) – years full of life in small, remote towns; homeschooling my daughters; and working in various roles in schools, banking, and non-profits until, recently, we moved to Kamloops and here I am – full circle: conveyancing again!

I enjoy it! My job is to, under Franca’s supervision, take care of the paperwork portion of your purchases, sales, and mortgages, making sure that everyone’s intentions are realized and registered.

Getting it right is my intention.

Marilyn Tegart

Kamloops has been my home since 1993. I have been working as an assistant to lawyers and notaries since 2008.

If you are using our office for your sale or purchase, I will likely be the person gathering the necessary information to open your real estate file before passing it on to one of our conveyancers. My spare time is spent walking my rough collie and visiting my new grandchild.
I invite you to come by our office at #301-619 Victoria Street or call the office to book an appointment.

Who are BC Notaries?
